Masquerade Masks
A Masquerade ball dates back to the 15th century they were really just elaborate dances that members of the upper classes attended. At many Masquerade balls a game was played amongst the guests. Each of the masked guests were supposed to dress in a unidentifiable manner, then the other guests had to determine each others' identity. This game created a more enjoyable ball with many humorous outcomes.
A masquerade Ball is the perfect idea for a really glamorous party, everyone dressed up in spectacular colourful costumes and the intrigue of not knowing who is who.
The most popular style of masquerade costumes balls are inspired from the 16th century when the parties were held regularly and from this era it was the ladies wearing huge elegant ball gowns while the men in tuxedo along with a top hat.
The Masquerade masks can be made from paper or plastic that just about cover the eyes but to be much more elaborate, a mask with feathers or sequins that covers more of the face or even as a headdress would be better suited.
